2016 ~ Art Students do well in JHS's first time entry to the prestigious Scholastic Art and Writing Awards Competition.
Several of Mr. Rosage's art students entered artwork in the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards Competition for 2016. North Carolina is divided into two districts with our area part of the Eastern/Central North Carolina Division based at Barton College. Congratulations to Nathan Weber who won a Gold Key Award... the highest award obtainable. An awesome feat since there were several thousand works submitted. Congratulations also go out to Jacine Vick and Juan Barbosa for receiving Honorable Mentions. The following students also entered artwork in the competition... Christian Ahlmark, Alexander Fish, Roman Gil, Victoria Gorton, Morgan Hagedom, and Brenden Torres. Nathan's piece will qualify for the state and national competition and be on exhibit at Barton College during February.
